We are a young, fun and dynamic photography studio.  We hated our regular nine-to-five jobs, and yearned for something stimulating and creative – and discovered the joy of professional photography. We believe in being passionate about what we do, and having a truckload of fun while we’re doing it. We foster individual creativity and encourage out-of-the-box thinking and approaches. Unlike large corporations, we’re a very small family – and actually look forward to Monday mornings! We’re a dog-friendly office, and you can find our Chief Cuddling Officers (CCO – yes, we coined that first!) Dexter and Shadow – two German Shepherd pups – always ready for a game of fetch. Or a tickle behind the ear. Or maybe a spirited discussion on whether it’s nap time or play time! If you have a dog, you are more than welcome to bring him or her with you to work!

Our office is a 2000 square feet studio in the heart of Gurgaon (5 minutes from the HUDA City Centre Metro Station). A part office space and part photography studio, our office is a relaxed and chilled out space designed to foster creativity.

We thrive on coffee (hence our name, Studio Thoda Strong) our evening Samosas and a constant supply of various sweets and savouries. We love to eat, and hope you do too!

We specialise in primarily two genres: Indian Wedding Photography & Cinema (under the Twogether Studios Brand) and Photography/Films for the hospitality and FMCG industry. In addition to these broad specialisations, we also take up other corporate and advertising work. We also take on occasional pro-bono work.

OPEN POSITIONS

Marketing and Brand Manager 

Experience Level: 1 – 2 years 

Job Description

Do you love the thrill of a pitch? Do you enjoy meeting new people and closing deals? And on top of that, if you yearn to work in a fun, creative and fulfilling field, then we are looking for you! We require young graduates from any field with experience in sales, business development, client servicing or account management to join our team to completely manage our go-to-market functions as well as nurture existing client relationships. The job will involve nurturing and converting all business leads as well as innovating unique and out-of-the-box methods of generating new business for our photography organisation. You will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals like wedding planners, industry leaders, journalists, PR agencies, wedding portals and so on. As with any small organisation, the job is not just limited to sales and business development; you will also be expected to service existing customer accounts while exploring new ones. You will also be expected to act as our PR and brand evangelist, pitch in during creative ideation, be a part of our photography process and be the client interface during wedding photography assignments!

Job requirements

  • At least 1 year in account management, business development, client servicing or sales. Experience in PR would be a bonus.
  • A driven people person with a passion for networking. A creative streak or a strong desire to be a part of a creative workforce
  • Exemplary multi-tasking skills with the ability to juggle multiple roles at the same time
  • Be able to thrive in a target based system while maintaining strong systems for tracking and reporting
  • The ability to constantly evolve existing marketing systems in the effort to boost the sales pipeline.
  • A passion for brand building and public relations
  • Genuine people skills, a photographic memory when it comes to remembering people and names, and someone who thrives working with families
  • Prior experience in the wedding industry is not mandatory, but will be a bonus
  • Prior experience (or the knowledge of) photography is not mandatory, but will be a bonus

New! Video Editor + Cinematographer


Experience Level: 1 – 3 years

Job Description: Are you looking for a job where you can shoot as well as edit?  You will be part of our film-making team, and your job will be to work with our DOPs and cameramen along with the ideation team to edit, cut, cull and craft films from the footage we all create. You will be a part of the unit that creates wedding film magic – and in doing so, will be creating inspirational stories for real couples and real families. It will be difficult, it will challenge you – but at the end, it will be worth it!

Job requirements

  • Formal training in visual communication or mass communication.
  • Creativity and a passionate interest in film and video editing
  • Full knowledge of DSLR and Mirrorless camera cinematography, including usage of gimbals, steadycams, audio recording, light setups etc.
  • A good sense of music, especially modern Bollywood and/or English Pop and Rock.
  • Hands-on expertise with editing software like Adobe Premier or FCP and After Effects.
  • Ability to visualise and work with footage independently. Use your imagination to create something different every time.
  • Ability to work quickly, and if required – create same-day edits from footage shot during a wedding
  • Knowledge of film-making, including file formats and camera types

Job requirements

  • Experience at wedding photography, been a part of at least 20 weddings in any capacity (primary or second shooter)
  • Full proficiency at photography including off-camera lighting techniques and shooting in manual mode
  • Strong fundamentals of photography, including shooting in manual, flash and off-camera flash basics and shooting in low-light conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of editing software, especially Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
  • Ability to work fulltime and travel to Gurgaon on a daily basis.

Are you starting out in the photography industry? Do you want to make a career for yourself as an Indian Wedding Photographer? This is your chance to learn the ropes and gain a foothold in the industry with one of the top wedding photography studios in India. We are a learning-focussed studio, and encourage innovation, new ideas and new ways of doing things. You will be a part of a team that shoots real, intimate and fun weddings all over India and the world. You will be required to take ownership of the full range of wedding photography functions that includes photo curation and culling, post production, album design…and actually shooting the wedding as well! In the process you will learn how to find your confidence and niche as a wedding photographer, gain insights on how a photography business works, learn advanced techniques and skills…and have a great time doing it! We love our jobs! This position is a full time position based in Gurgaon.

Job requirements

  • A degree / diploma in photography from a recognised photography institute. Self taught photographers also welcome to apply, but formal training will be a bonus.
  • Experience of having shot at least 5 weddings, in a second shooter or primary shooter capacity.
  • Strong fundamentals of photography, including shooting in manual, flash and off-camera flash basics and shooting in low-light conditions.
  • Ownership of your own full-frame camera will be a bonus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of editing software like Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Knowledge of video editing software like FCP / Premier will be a bonus.
  • Ability to work fulltime and travel to Gurgaon on a daily basis.

Content and Communications Specialist  (CLOSED)


Experience Level: 1 – 2 years 

Job Description

Do you spend all day on Facebook? Did you know that being adept at social media can actually be a job? If you do, and you’re adept at crossing your t’s and dotting your i’s, this could be the job for you! We are a boutique wedding photography studio based in Gurgaon, and we’re looking for young graduates from any field with impeccable written and spoken English to join our small team. You’ll be expected to contribute to our photography blog (which is amongst the top 100 photography blogs in the world!), manage our social media accounts (we have over 200,000 followers online) and write content for our various channels. You’ll be writing about engaging and colourful subjects like Indian weddings, photography techniques and lessons, style and fashion inspiration, trends and recaps – and much more! Apart from writing and social media management, you will be welcome to be a part of our photography journey – help assist during photoshoots and be a part of our ideation and creative process. You can expect to be a part of a fun and engaging workspace, and far removed from your typical corporate structure.

Job requirements

  • Strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills
  • A writing style that is fresh, relatable and fun. An ability to generate content from basic guidelines and very little information
  • Prior experience in writing for the web, content management and internet research
  • A good understand of social media, social analytics and trend analysis  (or in other words, you know what people click on). Experience with social advertising and reporting will be a bonus.
  • Experience with blogging CMS softwares like WordPress
  • Experience with photography or an understanding of the basics of photography is not mandatory, but will be a bonus
