A grand celebration of Somna and Aditya’s love in a Jodhpur Destination Wedding
Love is amazing. It is exciting. Beautiful. Joyful. Love doesn’t have a definition. It’s just how you feel, you can’t describe it. That’s what Somna and Aditya’s love looked and felt like. Something that you just knew was there for you. So after 6 years of a beautiful relationship of love and trust, they decided to be together for life.
They married each other in a Jodhpur destination wedding. And Umaid Bhavan Palace was the perfect place to celebrate their love and life. It was a star-studded celebration with celebrities like Asrani, Bhagyashree and Vindu Dara Singh attending to bless the couple. Here are some of our favourite moments from this crazy celebration!
Part 1: Mehendi & Sangeet
The wedding celebrations kicked off with a Mehendi and Sangeet event in the warm December sun (which was amazing as most Sangeets happen at night!) Our couple entered amidst a riot of colours with the regal Umaid Bhavan Palace in the background. It was a beautiful day to celebrate love. Both the families came together to dance for Aditya and Somna. Towards late afternoon, we snuck our couple out (or dragged them out, quite literally!) for some quick portraits as the light was amazing and we can’t resist golden hour and colourful bougainvillaeas.
Part 2: Engagement & Cocktail
The engagement night was a splendid celebration! Somna and Aditya made a grand entry with cold pyros and exchanged rings in front of their closest family and friends. And then they were ready to dance away for the rest of the night on singer Akriti Kakar’s tunes!
And then came the after-party! In Aditya’s words, this was the event that he was personally in charge of! His mission was to make sure people partied till the wee hours of the night, and that it was a night to remember. And boy, did he deliver!
Part 3: Haldi
Somna and Aditya had separate haldi ceremonies.You can see how much fun Somna had on her Haldi. She was grinning and laughing even when being splashed with Haldi or showered on with flowers.
And Aditya’s friends made sure they made the haldi wild one by tearing off his kurta and smearing him with haldi all over!
Part 4: Wedding
The wedding day began with an energetic and vibrant baraat that started in the evening and went well into the night. Aditya’s father couldn’t contain his excitement and happiness at his son getting married.
Somna looked absolutely stunning in a Sabyasachi lehenga for her wedding day. And she couldn’t be more excited to be finally marrying the love of her life.
We’ve always been mesmerized by the architecture of Umaid Bhawan Palace; and we knew we wanted to combine its beauty with our stunning bride Somna.
Javed Ali’s melodious voice made the wedding ceremony more beautiful and harmonious. Our couple exchanged vows for life surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends.
