A Delhi Wedding Story | Nandni+Vahin

A Delhi wedding story of love and laughter and happily ever after

Sometimes when two people are meant to be, life keeps bringing them together through circumstances until they realise that they’re perfect for each other. Nandni and Vahin’s happy realisation led to a two-day wedding at The Imperial in Delhi early this year.

The couple met in college and had a few mutual friends but they never got to know each other. They met again a few years later and stayed friends for a while before they realised how right they are for each other. After a few years of long-distance courtship, they finally married each other surrounded by family and friends.  Here are some of our favourite moments from the wedding.

Part 1: The Proposal

A few weeks before the wedding, Vahin took Nandni to Jaipur for a surprise proposal. We were so glad to have captured the moment for them. He took her for a special dinner at the Fairmont Hotel. got down on one knee, and asked Nandni to marry him. She said yes, of course

Part 2: Mehendi and Sangeet

Their mehendi event the next day that was full of joy and love between the two families. The artist for the event made sure that the whole family came together and danced on Punjabi ‘boliyan‘. Even the grandparents!

The sangeet evening could only be described as vibrant, energetic, and packed with dance performances The couple’s friends hosted the event, where their closest friends and family danced for them. Not to mention the amazing Navraj Hans who had everybody dancing to his tunes.

Part 4: The Wedding

Vahin’s friends had come from all around the world to be a part of his wedding celebrations. Which is why they spared no effort in making sure that he was covered in haldi. And beer. And chutney!

While Vahin’s haldi ceremony was chaotic, Nandni’s haldi and chooda ceremony on the other hand was gentle and loving.

Vahin’s friends surrounded his vintage ride, hid the car keys and had the dance party of their lives on some good old Bollywood songs in his baraat.

Nandni looked stunning in a gold Rimple and Harpreet lehenga.

She walked down the aisle hand in hand with her parents and the jaimala happened at that perfect time when the sky and the light are just perfect.
