Prewedding couple shoot in Neemrana Tijara

A Delhi Wedding Story | Varsha+Arjun

A Hollywood-meets-Bollywood Delhi wedding at the Heritage Village Resort that brought two incredible people together

Varsha’s brother described Arjun and Varsha’s story as a Karan Johar movie that was coodly-poodly to the power of 10. And he’s not wrong!

The couple met on the set of the movie “The Hungry” in Mumbai. She first brushed him off as just another actor but soon realised that Arjun had a heart of gold which was meant for her! They had a two-day Delhi wedding at the Heritage Village Resort in Delhi last year.

Don’t forget to scroll down and see their wedding trailer!

Part 1: Pre-Wedding in Neemrana Tijara

Part 2: Sundowner mehendi and sangeet

Their Delhi wedding celebrations began with a sundowner mehendi function that seamlessly transitioned into their sangeet function in the evening. Their friends and family had prepared a lovely musical skit mixed with dance performances that spoke the tale of their journey together.

Varsha being a stylist and Arjun an actor (The Magicians), the wedding was star-studded with their industry friends like Mithila Palkar (Little Things), Yashaswini Dayama (Dear Zindagi), Antonio Aakeel (Eaten by Lions) and so many more amazing people whose work we admire and respect.

Part 3: Haldi ceremony

Part 4: Delhi wedding ceremony

Arjun danced his way to the wedding venue in his baraat with family and friends – sans horses, carriages, or any fanfare. Varsha’s most-awaited bridal entry brought tears into his eyes. And the vows they had written for each other made not only them but all of the wedding party, cry. This Delhi wedding ceremony was a beautiful affair of love and togetherness.

A Delhi Wedding Story | Vasvi+Puneet

Two beautiful souls vow their love for each other in a Delhi wedding

When two people in love come together, magic happens. And what’s not to love about capturing the journey of those beautiful souls?

Vasvi and Puneet’s story began in college, where they met each other as strangers, became acquaintances and then friends. Puneet was mesmerised by Vasvi since the first time he saw her. Soon after he knew that Vasvi is the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. For him, there was no going back. His love and care for her over the years made Vasvi realise that she too loved him and wanted him as her life partner. And their families were only too happy to unite the two lovebirds.

We shot their pre-wedding at the Park Hyatt in Goa. It was great to spend some time getting to know the two. We had a fun and relaxed shoot on the beach before the hustle-bustle of their wedding preparations began. Vasvi is the kind of girl that you can’t help but like and Puneet is an absolute gentleman. Shooting their wedding was so comfortable for us as both Vasvi and Puneet’s families are great hosts. Their four-day wedding was an intimate affair with loads of laughter and tears.

Vasvi and Puneet had two beautiful wedding ceremonies in Delhi – Hindu-style pheras followed by a Sikh wedding. The Hindu wedding happened at Shagun Farms while the Sikh wedding took place at the beautiful Gurudwara Pahariwala in Greater Kailash. The grand wedding celebrations continued for four days with haldi, mehendi and sangeet functions. Being the beloved of the family, Vasvi’s bidaai had everybody (including us!) crying their eyes out.

Canada to India – A Mumbai Wedding Photography Story: Juhi + Akshay

A Mumbai Wedding Photography Story

As Wedding Photographers, we think that wedding photography is truly a delightful thing – every single time we shoot a wedding, we find a new story. It keeps us motivated, fascinated and raring to meet the next couple and hear their story. And, of course, be a part of documenting and telling their wedding story.

In the case of Juhi & Akshay, we saw once again that two people can fall in love across immense geographical barriers. When they first got in touch, Juhi lived in Canada and Akshay in Chandigarh, India. A chance internet encounter through a mutual friend turned into long Facebook chats, then emails and phone calls over a period of months before they actually met. When they finally did, they just knew that this was for real and they had no choice but to be together.

A few more cross-continent meetings and one very romantic proposal in Bombay later, they set a date. The wedding was to be held in Bombay, as that’s where Juhi’s family is from.

Mumbai wedding photography means wanting to walk away with great photos from a couple shoot! So when we first reached Bombay for their wedding, we couldn’t resist taking some couple portraits at the iconic Gateway to India.

Mumbai wedding photography is always fun! We had to arrive at the Gateway of India really early to avoid the hordes of people that are usually there!

On an aside, here’s a funny story. We first met Akshay when he came to attend our Wedding Photography Workshop in 2014. Lo and behold, a year later he came down from Chandigarh to meet us and tell us about his wedding. He was so impressed by the workshop that he just had to have us shoot his wedding! This felt like the biggest compliment and success story from that workshop and we just couldn’t resist sharing it as we gear up for the AKP Wedding Bootcamp 2016!

Getting back on track, the wedding festivities started with Juhi’s mehendi ceremony – held at her family home in Bombay.

The mehendi was followed by the tilak and chunari ceremonies…

The best part about shooting Juhi & Akshay as a couple was definitely their ever-ready smiles, for each other and for the camera. It was just such a great pleasure.

The wedding day began with their respective haldi ceremonies.

The haldi ceremony is one of our favourites – the fun moments with siblings and cousins makes our day.

We loved the fact that both Juhi & Akshay had picked complimentary outfits, paying attention to the small, but important, details…

And finally, here comes the happy bride…

This Mumbai wedding photography story concluded at the lovely ISKON temple.  Their beautiful wedding took place in the ISKON Temple complex in Juhu, amidst their closest family and friends…

We managed to sneak them away for a few quick portraits before it was time to say goodbye.

And, finally, they drove off into the night towards their Happily Ever After!

We loved being a part of their wedding – it was full of fun, laughter and family camaraderie! We wish them a very happy married life together.

Delhi Wedding Photography | Yash + Pallavi’s Band Baaja Baarat wedding :-)

A Delhi Wedding Photography Story

Pallavi & Yash first met in college and discovered that they had more in common than they thought! A few years of spending time together – on and off campus – slowly but surely led them closer towards a lifetime of togetherness.

Their wedding was a beautiful winter affair, full of rich traditions and lighthearted fun with family and friends. The festivities began with the Mehendi ceremony at Pallavi’s home.

Evidence of the previous night-long party…

Only to prepare for another party!

The Bhaat ceremony and Mehendi at Yash’s home…

The sagan ceremony…

Then there was dancing…

Some conversation and a few photo sessions…

The Haldi ceremonies…

And the wedding…

A few days after the wedding, we spent a few hours with the couple at Neemrana Fort Palace to take a few post-wedding photos…
