Aastha Rachit-53

Westin Sohna Wedding Story | Aastha+Rachit

“Written in our stars”, that’s how Aastha and Rachit described their story. Even when they did not realise it, they were meant to be.

Aastha and Rachit have known each other their whole lives. The more time they spent with each other, the more they realised that they were ‘it’. They brought out the best in the other and became the “go-to person” for each other.

They married each other in a beautiful two-day celebration at the Westin Sohna. Here are a few of our favourite moments from their festivities.

Part 1: Welcome Lunch

The wedding celebrations began with a casual lunch that was the perfect start to the upcoming festivities. It was a lovely winter afternoon where friends and family got together. We sneaked our lovely couple out for a few portraits before the hustle-bustle of the wedding began. It was the perfect time for us to spend some time with the couple as well as for them to spend some quiet uninterrupted moments with each other!

Part 2: Sangeet night

Knowing Aastha and Rachit, we knew the sangeet night was going to be a blast! And we were right. But before that, some portraits had to be made of the stunning Aastha and the debonair Rachit.

Proclaimed by his friends as the “party animal”, Rachit made sure everyone danced and had fun on the night.

Towards the end of the night, we managed to get some more portraits of the two! The light installation for their entry made for a great bokeh for their portraits.

Part 3: Haldi

Like all groom Haldi ceremonies, Rachit’s got wild and crazy. It kicked off with friends and family dancing to their favourite tunes.

All yellow!
What’s a Haldi ceremony without the groom’s friends tearing off his kurta!

In contrast, Aastha had a loving and emotional Haldi ceremony followed by a ‘Phoolo ki Holi’.

Aastha started tearing up during the rituals. Or her Mom did. We don’t know who started first, but it ended up in a loving hug.

After the rituals were over, they moved outside to play some more haldi. Or Holi. Or a pool party!

Part 4: Wedding

All pumped up for the wedding day, Rachit couldn’t wait to see his bride. In his own words, Aastha is his “go-to person”, so you can imagine how excited he must be to finally start a new chapter with her.

When we spoke to Aastha a little while before she made her bridal entry, she told us she wasn’t nervous at all. In fact, she was excited to finally start a life together with Rachit.

Aastha and Rachit kept sneaking glances at each other throughout the wedding ceremony. The way they looked at each other was absolutely adorable.

Vidaais – tearful, emotional, bittersweet – each one leaves our heart heavy. Letting go of a precious and loved daughter is never easy, and so it was for Aastha’s family.

We have such fond memories of this wedding – and we wish them all the very best!
